Introducing a carefully selected microlot filter coffee, in the convenience of a 45g bag. This particular one is 100% Geisha, a varietal first discovered in Abyssinia, Ethiopia in 1931, planted in Panama for the first time in 1963 and in Colombia in 2005. This cup offers a rare combination of flavour notes, including rhubarb and apple pie, black plum, pineapple, mandarin and florals.

Processing & Fermentation -This particular sustainable coffee is grown by Sebastian Gomez at the La Divisa farm. This coffee is carefully hand-picked, selecting only the ripest cherries. The cherries are then fermented for 40 hours in an anaerobic environment. Afterwards, the coffee is sundried until the ideal moisture content is achieved.

Impact - Love sustainable coffee? Finca La Divisa employs a highly effective agroforestry system, cultivating coffee under a diverse canopy of native trees like Guamo and Guayacán. This practice not only mimics natural forest ecosystems, fostering rich biodiversity with 54 identified bird species and naturally controlling pests, but also creates a stable microclimate essential for mitigating climate change impacts on coffee plants. Benefiting from rich volcanic ash soils, the farm’s commitment to organic principles and participation in initiatives like Bring Back Native Trees underscores a holistic sustainability approach that enhances both farm resilience and the distinct quality of its coffee.
