Awards and achievements
Recognising positive impact
Alongside our independent certifications – B Corp, 1% for the Planet and Carbon Neutral Organisation certification – we’ve also been recognised with a number of awards highlighting our commitment to creating a lasting positive impact.
From multiple Better Business Partnership award wins, to the NSW Green Globe award for Excellence in Sustainability. More recently, we were announced as finalists for the Banksia Foundation NSW Sustainability Awards in the Net Zero Action category and finalists in the TMRRW Awards. Achievements we’re all really proud of.
Awards mark our achievements, but in essence, they’re a result of our ongoing commitment to being the best coffee brand for the world. We also know that none of these awards would be possible without the ongoing support of our amazing team and community around us.
Talk the talk & walk the walk
What we’re doing on home turf
We believe it’s not any one thing that makes us sustainable, but all the little things that add up. Over the past few years, we became one of the first coffee roasters in Australia to install rooftop solar panels, meaning a large percentage of our power is drawn directly from our solar system and any leftover is put back into the grid.
We shifted our single-use cups and lids to Certified Compostable BioPak products. We’re also working with local communities to donate coffee chaff, coffee jute bags and grounds to local community gardens and co-ops.
We continue to partner with local initiatives, donating our time and money to organisations working on-the-ground, like Surfrider, OzHarvest and Greening Australia. In 2024 alone, we contributed over $125,000 to the 1% for the Planet movement, directly supporting organisations tackling climate change, head on.
A journey to a better future
A path to impact
The latest IPCC report on climate change should be the wake up call we all need. We’re living in a world changing under the direct influence of manmade climate change.
As with most organisations, we share some of that blame. We’re upfront, we’re not perfect, we’ve got a long way to go, and there’s always more to do. But there’s hope, we can all make a difference and reverse the path we’re on. But we need to take action now as individuals and businesses.
We set an ambitious goal to achieve a B Corp score of 100 + by 2025. Despite falling short of this goal, we were incredibly proud to achieve a B Corp Certification of 97.1, placing us among the top few B Corps that manufacture goods in Australia. Our next B Corp Recertification is in 2027 and we're working hard to achieve an overall score of 100+.
