Our aim of our Expedition Program was to deliver exceptionally rare and unique coffees in a format that was both approachable and affordable. Both espresso and filter style coffee that not only scored exceptionally well but also offered to push the boundaries via their production techniques with unique results in the cup.
The aim is to offer curated coffees in a format that reduces waste and offers exceptional value. We roast and pack selected coffee into 100% recyclable bags (via Redcycle system) vacuum seal them, then deep freeze ready to be thawed when they are shipped to your door.

Using technology for positive impact
As an industry we’re in the midst of a “golden age” of technological advancement. At farms we’re seeing adaptation and advancement of farming and processing methods due to impacts of climate change, block chain technology being used to power transparency of the coffee supply chain.
Automation is becoming commonplace in coffee bars and in the home. We’re proud to be at the forefront across our business. We use technology as a lever to enhance our positive impact, though creating efficiencies, reducing costs and importantly reducing our waste.
Excitingly we use technology to power innovation that repurposes that waste. From our involvement with Huskee cups development, our pods being 100% compostable and biodegradable, to our Roastery being in part powered by our rooftop solar panels, feeding power back into the grid.

With climate change pressures impacting the majority of coffee growing regions across the globe there is the need to ensure we’re maximising the yield from every precious coffee cherry grown.
We work closely with external organisations, business and researches alike to try to deliver outcomes that both tackle the challenges our industry faces and benefit the environment and community . For too long coffee has been treated as a commodity crop rather than the fruit that it is. Our approach to brewed coffee focuses on the difference in region, coffee varietal, processing method all with the aim to produce an exceptional beverage for our range of brewed coffee.
We fervently believe that if we’re not innovating we’re going backwards and we’re one of the first Roasteries in Australia to invest in the equipment and technologies to bulk brew, bottle and can in house to produce our delicious canned Nitro and Coffee Concentrates. We see this innovation playing a critical part in the future of the coffee industry. By brewing the coffee as we do we maximise the yield ensuring we squeeze as much goodness out of every bean to create an amazing coffee experience for both cafe and at home customers alike.
