Kiamaina is a respected washing station on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya in Nyeri County. Established in 1974, it’s now led by Purity Wanjiku Muriuki, the Kiama Cooperative’s first female manager. It serves 461 smallholder farmers at 1750–1850m elevation, where rich volcanic soil and cool climate shape its coffee’s vibrant profile.
Handpicked cherries are sorted, fermented, soaked and slowly dried for a bright, clean, and complex cup. This AA-grade lot showcases Kenya’s commitment to quality, with direct trade enabling faster payments and stronger grower relationships.
Over 3,000 farmers rely on Kiamaina, making each cup a celebration of community, care, and Kenyan coffee heritage.
