This coffee was processed at the Nyarusiza washing station, established in 2003, Nyarusiza services around 700 local producers. Located at 1,743 metres above sea level in the rugged mountains of Rwanda’s Southern Province, the station benefits from mineral-rich soil and a lush environment, ideal for specialty coffee production.
Nyarusiza typically employs 60 seasonal workers during the peak harvest and maintains five permanent staff positions. At the end of each season, any surplus profits are shared with the producers and washing station managers.
