This coffee really is the product of perseverance in challenging circumstances. Its producers, Maria Souza, Lucia Diniz and Emiline Palmas are part of ‘Women in Coffee’: a program created by our Brazilian partner, Capricornio, to support female coffee producers and highlight the contribution they make at origin.
Coming from 3 separate farms, Sitio Do Cafe, Sitio Sao Joaquim and Sitio Sao inocencio all based in the state of Paraná, south of Brazil, a region that doesn’t have the high altitudes normally associated with quality coffee. Not to be deterred, these farmers have partnered with Capricornio to take advantage of the region’s ideal latitude and soil to produce this beautiful coffee for our espresso program.
We are very proud to support this program, which champions women of the world as they produce excellent coffee.
