The Kanya washing station has a rich history, originally established as a mini washing station in 2014 by local resident Kanyamibwa Edmond. After years of honing his craft and significantly increasing the station's capacity to handle higher volumes of high-quality cherries, Edmond sold Kanya to the Rwanda Trading Company (RTC) in 2017.
