The Gisanga Washing Station resides in the beautiful mountain range of the Congo-Nile Divide. The conditions are absolutely perfect for coffee growing and processing.
The washing station purchases coffee cherries from around 850 local farmers, usually brought to the station by foot or bicycle, the farmers are compensated if other transportation is necessary. The coffees here are carefully looked after at every stage of processing ensuring only the highest quality results and using only fresh clean water provided by ‘Theresa's natural spring’ named after the daily who first used the spring for home coffee processing methods. This natural processed coffee from Rwanda really impressed us on the cupping table so we hope that it impresses you too.
