We feel lucky to have this coffee on our program, as it was only a few years ago that it would have been blended and labeled as a generic Huila coffee. This is all thanks to the organisation Asorcafe and the great work they do with unique regions within Colombia. This particular micro region, Inza, is not only special because of its mountainous areas separated by canyons but the collective of coffee farms are said to be located on ancient burial grounds. These farms have great significance for the producers and whole community. Our coffee partners are working closely with these farmers to help improve quality and maintain a productive yield.
